Portia Scott is a pioneer in the Voiceover arena in Hollywood! She has over 25 years of experience as a Voiceover agent is the only African American woman leading one of the top divisions as the Director of Voiceover at Coast-to-Coast Talent Group in Los Angeles. Along with her talented team, she represents both adult and youth talent in all areas of voiceover. Her client roster is among the top talent in the industry having worked on animated Academy Award® & Golden Globe® awarded films such as Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio and Toy Story 4. Further recent notable animation feature credits include Space Jam: A New Legacy, Raya and the Last Dragon, Over the Moon, Wish Dragon, Into The Spider Verse, Blue’s Big City Adventure, AINBO: Spirit of the Amazon, The Mitchells vs. The Machines, Abominable, Inside Out, UP and Frozen. Portia has additionally placed clients in copious TV animation roles, video game and national commercial campaigns. Leveraging her strong relationships with top animation studios, Portia has secured client roles on animated television series on Disney, Nickelodeon, Netflix, Cartoon Network, Marvel, HBO, Paramount+, Pixar TV, LucasFilm/TV and DreamWorks Animation, to just name a few. Ms. Scott’s clients have worked for some of the industry’s top video game companies including EA Sports, Nintendo, Bio Ware, Blizzard, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Sony Interactive, Activision, Epic Games, Take Two Interactive, Microsoft, Rockstar Games, Riot Games, Xbox Game Studio, Cygames, Warner Bros., BrightSkills, Lucas Arts, Naughty Dog and Blindlight. Ms. Scott has created and co-authored, alongside Melique Berger, a curriculum of technique and performance courses for university, baccalaureate and master’s degree programs and performance conservatories that are inclusive of voiceover as part of the discipline of study. Through their company “Indigo Voices,” the pair created a curriculum entitled “Method on the Mic/Actors Tool Kit”/ “Art of the Pivot©.” Portia Scott has a passion for the entertainment industry. A native of Los Angeles, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from California State University, Long Beach. She then set her goals higher and moved to New York City, where she garnered a Master of Arts in Theatre from New York University’s famed Circle in the Square Theatre School. Ms. Scott gained notoriety in the theatre community of Manhattan performing throughout the Tri-State area. Upon returning to Los Angeles, she produced, co-wrote, and starred in her own one-woman show, “The Secret Diary of Sandra Woodward.” This “Secret” wasn’t a secret for long and burgeoned into a one- woman show-biz extravaganza. After receiving public acclaim and success with the show, work in television and film continued to flourish. Ms. Scott continued her quest for further knowledge of the industry by working for MCA/Universal. On the studio side, Ms. Scott has worked in such areas as feature marketing for Universal Pictures and in sitcom development for Universal Television.
